Tiger Safari Tour in Bandhavgarh Overview
National conservation areas that safeguard the wildlife are abundant in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh is among these parks with one of the highest density of the tiger. Despite being relatively tiny (it still covers about 65 square miles), the park is regarded by many ecologists and adventurers as being particularly important for wildlife conservation.
Unquestionably, Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the best places in India to see the largest cat. This is not a new occurrence; for nearly 25 years, Bandhavgarh National Park has consistently topped lists for the finest and most tiger sightings. This National Park served as the cornerstone for Indian wildlife tourism. It was the only factor in the spectacular expansion of the wildlife tourism sector over the first few years. Fun fact: Bandhavgarh recently celebrated its 50th anniversary as a national park and its 25th anniversary as a tiger reserve.

Ancient Hindu texts make mention of Bandhavgarh, which has been the focus of human activity and settlement for more than 2000 years (Narad-Panch Ratra and the Shiva Purana).
The earliest traces of human habitation in the park are sandstone caves that face the Bandhavgarh Fort to the north. The majority of them have 1st century B.C. Brahmi inscriptions are painted on them. The Fort has been ruled by a number of Dynasties, including the Maghas from the first century A.D. and the Vakatakas from the third century A.D. Since then, a number of dynasties, including the Chandela Kings, have ruled over Bandhavgarh.
Bandhavgarh was still the Maharaja’s private property at the time of independence. After he donated it to the State, it became a National Park in 1968.
After the park was established, poaching and hunting were controlled, and the number of animals significantly increased. Tigers were one species in particular that thrived. The forest’s perimeter was generously increased, giving the Big Cats the room they required to thrive. At the resort, spend the night.

What our guests are saying about us?
My husband and I did a 10 day "Just Tigers" safari. We visited Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh reserves. It was not high season but yes we had wonderful tiger sightings. The level of profession of these lovely people was so refreshing. For this type of trip you do want people who know what they are doing and a comfortable place to return to after long safari drives.
India. A country that has fascinated me for years. I finally decided it was time to visit and see it for myself. My husband and I both love nature, wildlife and birds so when I came across Nature Safari India I decided to make enquires.
We wanted to do the golden triangle tour as well as visiting national parks and seeing some of the ‘real’ India.
This is the 2nd time we have travelled with Nature Safari India. We had a 17 night holiday, visiting the nature of Sasan Gir National Park, Little Rann of Kutch, Velavadar Black Buck National Park and Leopard Hills at Bera. The nature was interspersed with various amounts of culture along the way. We had another amazing tour, with some stunning accommodation selected by the company
This was our second tiger safari at Corbett with Nature Safari and turned out to be worth every penny. We saw 7 tigers in 3 days and from quite close distance too. The best part was seeing a tigress wit her 2 grown cubs who crossed our path and walked in front of us for several minutes before crossing over and heading to a water hole where we saw them for hours drinking
